Barrier Coated BOPP
Barrier properties of flexible packaging film are important parameters in ensuring product quality and shelf life (especially in food products). Barrier coatings are used to protect sensitive products from degradation through contact with oxygen and moisture.
Accrued Plastic Ltd supply a range of barrier coated films including, acrylic, PVdC and PVOH. In addition to providing a barrier against oxygen and moisture, barrier coated films can also provide improved packaging machine performance and superior finished pack appearance through its high gloss optical properties.

- Available in 26, 32 and 42 micron
- Acrylic one side (external), PVdC (internal)
- Excellent water vapour, oxygen and aroma barrier
- Humidity, grease and alcohol resistant
- Outstanding optical properties
- Suitable for VFFS and HFFS packaging applications
- Excellent seal strength
- Stable C.O.F. slip property (non-migratory slip agent)
Acrylic Coated (both sides)
- Available in 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 50 micron
- Both sides acrylic coated (water based coating)
- Excellent aroma barrier
- Printable on both sides
- Outstanding optical properties
- Excellent hot tack and seal strength
- Suitable for cold seal applications
- Designed for use on HFFS, VFFS and overwrap machines
- Seal initiation temperature 90°C
- Stable C.O.F. slip property (non-migratory slip agent)
- Ability to seal against PVdC
Acrylic and PVOH Coating
- Available in 21 and 25 Micron
- Outside layer acrylic coated
- Inside layer PVOH coated
- Good aroma barrier
- Excellent hot tack and seal strength
- Printable on both sides
- Outstanding optical properties
- To be used in lamination applications or with an over-lacquer to protect the PVOH coating
PVdC Low Temperature Seal (LTS)
- Available in 26 and 32 micron
- PVdC (external), low temperature sealing layer (internal)
- Wide sealing range (70°C seal initiation temperature)
- LTS layer will only seal to itself
- For use on HFFS machines
- Excellent water vapour, oxygen and aroma barrier
